Like the C5 Malvern Aviator MK II, the C8 is inspired by the iconic B-Uhr watches used by the Luftwaffe in the late 1930s and then the RAF. It also shares the same automatic movement the famous ETA 2824-2 / Sellita SW200-1 partly which can be seen through an exhibition window. The result is a watch that combines an outstanding contemporary specification with a design that reminds us of a period in history when clarity, simplicity and accuracy were absolutely critical.
Not usually one to take the plunge and order a watch without physically seeing, handling and assessing I made an exception thanks to the 60-60 guarantee. It is the C8 Pilot and it is the best value watch I have ever bought. Astonished you can do a Swiss-made, mechanical movement timepiece with such a great dial for this price. The result is one of the most attractive conversions from an altimeter to a wristwatch. Based on the cockpits of fast jets the C11 MSL is indeed an interesting and fast paced addition to the range, whilst less workmanlike than some if its peers, the C11 MSL retains its functionality.

The striking contemporary approach, which is in contrast to the usual retro nature of a pilots watch, is based on a 42mm case in 316L surgical grade stainless steel. Has museum grade sapphire crystal and high density SuperLuminova markings and hands. Time to get LOCKED ON.
